IQAC – Another name of quality promise
IQAC of Vijaya college is monitoring all area of teaching, learning, evaluation and learning resources in the institution. We promise the stake-holders to uphold quality in teaching through continuous learning and training by teachers.
Since its inception IQAC has taken initiative arranging teaching, training, opening new vistas of learning prepared new perspective planning like Auditorium renovation, college, paintings, new computer lab and kindled quality in recordings our activities. All EC&CC activities, community participation, gender sensitization, participative management workshops, student’s projects, campus identification are knitted through IQAC. IQAC is working as the center point of solar system and all other activities are resolving around. The distinct feature of the IQAC of Vijaya College is making every teacher to take part in AQAR process and monitoring the academic activities.
About IQAC:
To enhance the quality of the academic process and as a pre-accreditation initiative,the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was established at Vijaya College in 2003.
The objective of the cell is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of the institution at all levels, involving all stakeholders.
The college has been accredited by NAAC with a B++ Grade during the 3rd cycle of re-accreditation in the year 2022.
Objectives:
The primary aim of IQAC is
- To develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to improve academic and administrative performance.
- To promote institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and best practices.
Strategies:
IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for
- Ensuring timely, efficient, and progressive performance of academic, administrative, and financial tasks.
- Promoting relevant and quality academic and research programmes.
- Ensuring equitable access and affordability of academic programmes.
- Optimizing and integrating modern teaching and learning methods.
- Maintaining credibility in assessment and evaluation processes.
- Ensuring adequacy and proper allocation of support services.
- Sharing research findings and networking with institutions in India and abroad.
Functions:
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:
- Development and application of quality benchmarks.
- Setting parameters for academic and administrative activities.
- Creating a learner-centric environment and promoting faculty development.
- Collection and analysis of stakeholder feedback.
- Dissemination of information on quality parameters.
- Organizing workshops and seminars on quality-related themes.
- Documentation of activities leading to quality improvement.
- Acting as a nodal agency for coordinating quality-related activities.
- Maintaining institutional database through MIS.
- Conducting Academic and Administrative Audits.
- Preparation and submission of AQAR as per NAAC guidelines.
